Fort Monitor reduces oil production costs

Oil company AKI-OTYR streamlined its processes and reduced fuel costs using Fort Monitor fleet management system.

AKI-OTYR is a large oil company that operates in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, Russia. It produces oil from a number or fields that have strategic value for the Russian oil market. AKI-OTYR has already developed an engineering infrastructure, built production facilities, administrative and utility buildings and is ready for field commissioning. At the moment, the total volume of oil reserves that the company has is 100 million tons.

The company is growing rapidly, which means there are new departments, employees, and processes. To enhance operations, the management of AKI-OTYR decided to deploy Fort Monitor fleet management system. All company vehicles (commercial vehicles, fuel tankers, well servicing vehicles) were equipped with FORT-112 on-board units that ensure stable communications in severe conditions and can be installed on any vehicle types. In addition, each vehicle was equipped with a fuel level sensor.

The fleet management system helped to improve driving behavior and reduce fuel costs due to better control of the vehicle’s location.
